Eccles is a town in Greater Manchester, 2.7 miles west of Salford and 3.6 miles west of Manchester City Centre, between the M602 motorway to the north and Manchester Ship Canal to the south. Eccles is served by the Liverpool and Manchester Railway (The world’s first railway constructed to carry passengers and freight), as well as the Eccles Line of the Metrolink system which, runs between Eccles and Manchester City Centre.
